Bring your children babies through 5th grade to the UCG church school wing on Friday, September 10 from 5:30 to 8:30 where they can play, eat pizza, watch movies, and have fun with our child care staff. Pizza and apple slices are provided. Due to serious food allergies of some participants, please do not bring any outside food. The cost is $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child. Sunday September 12 at 12:15pm- If you’ve been visiting UCG and would like to get to know more about UCG, come to a visitors lunch Sunday, September 12, at 12:15 in the Fellowship Hall. Larry, Sandy and Vince will be there to answer questions. The lunch is free. Child care is provided, but we must know if you need it. Please sign up on the church bulletin board or call the church office.
On Sunday, October 10, we will welcome new members at the 9:30 & 11:00 services. Joining UCG is always a sacred time. You bring who you are to us, and we in turn offer ourselves to you as a sacred trust. We believe that God works in this dynamic mix of giving and receiving. We confirm our connection with communion. New member orientation is Wednesday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Child care is provided. Please call the church office or sign up on the bulletin board by the office on Sunday morning. Let us know if you need child care as well.
September will feature the work of Angela Hoppe. Her joyful use of color can be seen in the floral, landscape and still life paintings currently on display. She studied at Pratt Institute in New York and has been painting for 20 years. Join her for a reception on Sunday, September 12 at 10:30 am.
Come spend an evening with Annie Pais and learn more about how to join The Blue Path Campaign to save the springs. On Sunday, September 26th at 6pm Annie will show The Hidden Rivers of Florida, a film by Wes Skiles and Jill Heinerth here in the UCG Sanctuary. Following the hour long film, Annie will facilitate a discussion about simple things we can all do to live on our blue path. A suggested $10 donation will help fund the work of The Blue Path.
BYO Lunch Groups meet at noon on Fridays - Men’s in the Kitchen and Women’s in the Library. All are welcome to these informal gatherings. Child care is provided if you call the church office by noon on Thursday. No Lunch Groups on April 24th.
Friendship Group meets in Room 8 at 11:00am on the first and third Sundays of each month. Denise Follenius facilitates this group for church teens and adults with special needs.
Campus Ministry meets on Sundays at 12:00pm at UCG for lunch and discussion. This group is open to all young adults who have finished high school who are in school, in the work force, or where-ever. Contact Jackie Nettles at jackienettles@gmail.com for details.
