Youth Activities at UCG

Whether it is connecting with peers, deepening our spiritual lives, or practicing a little ‘theology with our sleeves rolled up,” UCG has a lot to offer our youth!

We offer age specific groups for our middle, high and post-high school community.

Middle School Group (MSG) meets every Sunday  at 11 am in our youth room. At our meetings we divide our time between group building and games, and spiritual inquiry. We also offer a twice a month music program, designed to get our middle school kids involved in music, however known. There are also occasional overnight retreats and outreach opportunities.

Youth United(YU) is our high school youth group. We meet the first and third Sundays of the month at 5:30pm. YU takes a deeper look into our spiritual lives, by offering monthly ‘God, However Known’ discussions, as well as practicing our ‘theology with our sleeves rolled up’ with regular outreach opportunities. We also know how to have a good time, with events like our Polaroid Scavenger Hunt and Valentines’ Progressive Dinner. Some highlights of our YU year are our Winter Ski Trip to Blowing Rock, North Carolina, and our Spring Break Work Tour, where we travel to the gulf coast to help rebuild homes and hearts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Campus Ministry is our group for high school graduates up to 30 years of age. They meet every Sunday following our 11 am worship for a free lunch at a local restaurant, where they discuss theological themes highlighted in the mornings services. They also gather together regularly for social events and outreach experiences. If you are a student at UF or Santa Fe, or if you have graduated high school, Campus Ministry is the group for you!

From June 6th through August 15, our youth groups do not have regular meetings. However, serveral fun activities are planned this summer. See below for this summer's offerings:
